These Matcha Florentines make a unique and visually appealing treat, perfect for serving at gatherings or enjoying as a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 100g white chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon premium culinary matcha powder
  • 1/4 tsp coconut oil
  • Your choice of toppings (e.g., crushed almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, pomegranate seeds)

Method

  1. Prepare Matcha Chocolate
  • In a heatproof bowl, break the white chocolate into small pieces and place it over a pot of simmering water (bain-marie or double boiler).
  • Stir the chocolate until completely melted.
  • Add the coconut oil to the melted chocolate, stirring until well combined.
  • Sieve the matcha powder over the melted chocolate.
  • Stir well until the matcha is fully incorporated.

  1. Pipe Chocolate Circles

  • Prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Transfer the matcha chocolate mixture into a piping bag.
  • Pipe small circles of the matcha chocolate onto the prepared tray, leaving some space between each circle.

  1. Add Toppings

  • Quickly sprinkle your choice of toppings (crushed almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, pomegranate seeds, etc.) over the chocolate disks.

  1. Set in the fridge

  • Place the tray in the refrigerator and let the Florentines set for at least 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden.

  1. Serve

  • Once set, carefully remove the Matcha Florentines from the parchment paper.
  • Arrange them on a serving plate and enjoy the delightful combination of matcha-infused white chocolate and your chosen toppings.
