Spiced apple compote
One of my favourite easy everyday recipe in autumn. The spices of the spiced matcha blend compliment the apple to perfection and you get an immunity boost from the matcha, turmeric and ginger.
- 1 kg baking apples
- 1-2 tbsp agave syrup
- 2 tsp spiced matcha
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 50 ml water
- peel and core the apples
- on medium heat, add the apples to the pan, add the water, cinnamon stick, and agave syrup
- let it simmer for about 20 minutes and add the spiced matcha, stir well
For maximum health benefits add the matcha once the apples are cooked. Adjust the amount of agave if the apples are tart or sweet. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
