Matcha Date Bark
Recreating the viral date bark recipe adding matcha for enhanced flavours and added health benefits- GF and vegan.
Ingredients
- 14 medjool dates
- 80g smooth almond butter
- 2 Tsp premium culinary matcha powder
- 70g raw almonds
- 100g dark chocolate
Method
- Line a large baking tray with parchment paper
- Pit the dates and open the in halves place them on the parchment paper side by side
- Cover with another parchment paper and press them on to the baking tray
- In a pan warm the almond butter on low heat and sieve the matcha over and stir until combined
- Pour the matcha almond butter over the dates
- Chop the raw almonds and sprinkle them on top of the almond butter
- In a bain-marie, melt the chocolate and pour over the date bark
- Freeze for 2 hours until it is set
- Break into pieces and enjoy
