Matcha Date Bark

Recreating the viral date bark recipe adding matcha for enhanced flavours and added health benefits- GF and vegan.

Ingredients

  • 14 medjool dates
  • 80g smooth almond butter
  • 2 Tsp premium culinary matcha powder
  • 70g raw almonds
  • 100g dark chocolate

Method

  1. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Pit the dates and open the in halves place them on the parchment paper side by side
  3. Cover with another parchment paper and press them on to the baking tray
  4. In a pan warm the almond butter on low heat and sieve the matcha over and stir until combined
  5. Pour the matcha almond butter over the dates
  6. Chop the raw almonds and sprinkle them on top of the almond butter
  7. In a bain-marie, melt the chocolate and pour over the date bark
  8. Freeze for 2 hours until it is set
  9. Break into pieces and enjoy
